Benefits of Aluminium

Aluminum is 3 ½ times stronger than vinyl (PVC) and 43 times stronger than wood with a high strength-to-weight ratio, making it the ideal material for windows and doors. Our Hurricane-resistant window and door frames take full advantage of the strength that aluminum offers. In the commercial market, aluminum has long outperformed vinyl (PVC) and wood windows and has proven to be the window and door frame material to meet the highest demand in strength, performance and longevity. In residential applications, aluminum windows and doors are known to last decades longer than wood and vinyl (PVC). Aluminum resists rodents, termites and vermin.

Coastal conditions only emphasize the need for aluminum as a framing material. This lightweight, yet extremely strong metal is used on jumbo jets and stands up to the humid, corrosive coastal air by never warping, rotting or corroding.

Despite aluminum’s energy conductivity, very little energy is actually lost through the frame material. When combined with a thermal break, aluminum becomes an extremely energy efficient material. Vinyl (PVC) and wood window frames absorb heat and cold into the frame, causing that material to fail prematurely. Aluminum is thermally stable: it does not swell and shrink when temperature or humidity levels change. To the contrary, with vinyl (PVC) and wood frames, energy is lost due to their high level of expansion and contraction.
Aluminum is a non-combustible material. Typically, vinyl (PVC) and wood windows are quickly damaged by heat and embers whereas our extruded aluminum retains its form at 1000 degrees Fahrenheit.
Aluminum offers a great variety of rich and luxurious finishes that require minimal maintenance.
Aluminum is a 100% recyclable, non-toxic and a fully sustainable product. It is naturally plentiful and perpetually surviving (recyclability). Additionally, aluminum rates very high in Life Cycle Assessment and leaves a small ecological footprint.Aluminum is an abundant and sustainably harvested resource. In fact, about 8% of the earth's crust consists of aluminum bauxite. This bountiful supply exceeds global demands and because of its recyclable nature, aluminum is the material for the next century. Lastly, 94% of the world's supply of bauxite is mined in non-forested regions, minimizing global environmental impact.
